Jackson is a lighting designer who’s experience spans theatre, dance, opera, concerts, and architectural design. He began working in lighting at the age of 13 through community theatre programs in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN. Since then he has worked as a lighting designer and associate for over a decade.

Jackson was drawn to lighting because of its beautiful and versatile ability to spark conversation and remains driven to keep the conversation going.

Based in Los Angeles, CA, he is attending California Institute of the Arts, expecting to earn an MFA in Lighting Design. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a BFA in Design and Theatre Technology.


His work has premiered with companies such as ATE9 Dance Company, Heidi Duckler Dance, Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, PLAYDŌ Community, Connecticut Repertory Theatre, Playhouse on Park, Newfangled Theatre Company, Jackdonkey Productions, The Matchbox Theatre, Northern Starz Children’s Theatre, North Dakota State University, Central Connecticut State University, and California Institute of the Arts.
